Week 2 delivered some answers and raised some new questions. The biggest one from last week got resolved early — Nyjah Huston was indeed back. But the story of the night might have been Los Santos rolling out a lineup that felt less like a PSL team and more like a highlight reel.
Professional Skateboard League
Match #1 — Wolverines vs. SHS
A solid showing from SHS to open the night. Manny Santiago stepped up on the rail tricks and delivered when his team needed it, while Julian Christianson was his usual reliable self — the kind of quiet, consistent presence that wins matches.
The Wolverines had their moments, but couldn't quite keep up. One small detail that didn't go unnoticed — both captains hit the park without team shirts again. Sponsor situation, maybe? It's becoming a pattern.
Captain Jamie Foy made his presence felt early, snatching rail points and setting the tone for the Tropics.Trevor Colden and Christian Dufrene kept up their consistency from week one, proving they're going to be reliable contributors all season long.
Lithium, meanwhile, are still waiting on Zach Saraceno to actually skate — and this week they didn't even have a full bench, resorting to an unexpected sub. Alex Midler stepped up on the rails but bunted the stairs at a key moment. The Tropics pulled away for a comfortable win.
Nyjah Huston was back, confident and looking sharp after his injury — good news for the Soldiers and for the league as a whole.
But Los Santos came prepared. Their lineup read like a Thrasher SOTY roll call : Ginwoo Onodera alongside two past SOTYMiles Silvas (2023) and Mark Suciu (2021). The trio was a statement in itself.
Onodera did what he's been doing all season — double flips, technical hammers, making it look effortless. The message to the rest of the league was clear : if you want to hang with Los Santos, you're going to need to learn some new tricks.
Two weeks in, the talent gap between the top and bottom of the league is starting to show. Los Santos look like the team to beat, and with Nyjah finally back in the fold, the Soldiers aren't far behind.
